These circumstances affect people, directly or indirectly, causing depression, anxiety, panic disorders, insomnia, headaches and chronic diseases. Sometimes people do not improve, despite taking medications for a long time. I do not mean that there is no use for modern medicine, but want to state there is a place for traditional oriental medicine also. But let’s be clear: if a person has a sudden pain in the night, they should visit the Emergency department!

A more fundamental problem is that people may be unawares of psychological problems and spiritual brokenness as opposed to physical illnesses. Why are people not aware about their own mental and spiritual conditions? A person may be diagnosed late with a terminal cancer, but there may have been spiritual and psychological signs of this in the early stages.

In other words, the main reason of a terminal cancer could be connected with spiritual and psychological problems. Spiritual problems may be especially deep-seated and be traceable down through a person’s genealogy. A surgical solution for a cancer might not be enough if deep seated psychological and spiritual problems remain.

What I really want to say in this post is that true healing comes from considering all three aspects at the same time, physical, psychological and spiritual. Neither contemporary medicine nor traditional medicine deals with all three aspects. In reality, it can be hard for me to talk to patients about all aspects of their problem. It takes time for them to understand. Some cultures like Korea, do not acknowledge their problems properly and accurately.

Let’s see. If your house has a major defect, whom would you ask to fix the defect? You would check with the architect who made the original plans.

So we should go six thousand years back and ask the Creator- the Lord, Christ, Holy Spirit-who created man in his own image. This is the fundamental foundation of Integrated “Holistic Medicine”.

How are human beings made? It was written in the Old Testament:

“ When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth”(Psalm104:30 ).

Without His spirit no one can be created as a human being. So we are all God’s master piece who has the power on earth and the authority in heaven. In Integrated Holistic Medicine, all who have diseases should be healed using all three aspects Spiritual, Psychological and Physical.

This is the basis for True Healing. It is also very important for patient to meet the Integrated Holistic Medicine doctors so they can be properly assessed.

It can be a great opportunity for spiritual, psychological and physical healing; an amazing new chance, like building your house all over again!
